Antminer Universal Hashboard Test Fixture – S19 S19hyd S21 T21 S21hyd LCD Screen Faulty ASIC Detection

The Universal Hashboard Test Fixture is the workhorse bench tool for Antminer S19, S19 Hydro, S21, T21 and S21 Hydro hashboard repair. It powers a hashboard outside the miner, scans every chip in the chain, and reports the failed positions on its integrated LCD screen in a few seconds — so a technician can isolate which specific BM1398, BM1366 or BM1370 to replace before opening the rework station. Without a fixture, the same diagnosis means installing a candidate hashboard back into a miner, watching the kernel log, and trial-and-error on the rest of the chain. With one fixture covering all the major S19/S21-class boards, a single bench tool replaces 3-4 model-specific testers.

What the Fixture Reports and Why It Matters

The fixture energises the hashboard at the correct domain voltage, runs a chip-by-chip scan over the SPI bus, and prints a pass/fail map on the LCD: chip 1 OK, chip 2 fail, chip 3 OK… Multiple-chip failure across different domains usually points to a thermal event or a power-rail issue rather than chip-level damage; a single dead chip in one domain is the typical case for a one-chip swap. The fixture also reads back hashboard voltage and current, which gives an instant cross-check that the buck converters and downstream rails are healthy before a chip is touched.

Workflow on the Bench

Mount the suspect hashboard on the fixture using the appropriate adapter (S19, S19 Hydro, S21, T21, S21 Hydro — adapters keyed to the hashboard form factor). Connect the fixture power supply, power on, and start the scan. Read the failed chip positions from the LCD. After re-flowing the failed chip(s) on the rework station, return the hashboard to the fixture for a re-scan; if the chain reads clean, the board is ready to ship back into a miner. Standard ops practice in any S19/S21 repair line.
