About the Product

APW12 / APW17 PSU Fan Speed Simulator – Bitmain Noise Reduction Spoofer

Remove the noisy fan from your Bitmain power supply without triggering a fault code. This 2-wire fan speed simulator generates the RPM signal the PSU expects, allowing it to operate without a physical fan. It is essential for silencer-box installations, oil-immersion builds, and any setup where the PSU's built-in fan is replaced by an external cooling solution. Compatible with APW3++, APW7, APW8, APW9, APW12, and APW17 power supplies.

Broad Miner Compatibility

Because the simulator works across six generations of Bitmain PSUs, it covers virtually the entire Antminer fleet: S17e, T17e, S17+, T17+, S19, S19 Pro, T19, S19i, S19j Pro, S19XP, S19j Pro+, S19K Pro, KS3, S19 Pro-A, S19j Pro-A, KA3, L7, K7, D7, DR7, HS3, and E9. Whether you are converting a single home miner to silent operation or deploying hundreds of units into an immersion tank, one simulator SKU handles all models.

When and Why to Use a PSU Fan Simulator

The PSU firmware monitors fan tachometer feedback. If the signal disappears (fan unplugged or dead), the PSU shuts down to protect itself from overheating. The simulator provides a continuous tach signal regardless of whether a fan is spinning, so the PSU stays powered on. Use this device when you route PSU exhaust through a silencer duct with its own fans, when the entire miner operates submerged in dielectric fluid, or when you replace the stock PSU fan with a quieter aftermarket blower wired separately.

Installation

Disconnect the PSU from mains. Unplug the original 2-wire fan connector from the PSU fan header. Plug the simulator's connector into the same header. If you are keeping external airflow (silencer duct or aftermarket fan), wire that fan to its own 12 V source. Reconnect mains and verify the PSU powers on without error. The simulator draws negligible current — under 10 mA.
