Whatsminer PSU Fan Simulator 4-Pin – Immersion / Water / Oil Cooling Cooler Device
The Whatsminer PSU Fan Simulator is a 4-pin speed-controller designed specifically for Whatsminer official power supplies running in immersion, hydro or oil cooling configurations. By replacing the stock PSU fan with this simulator, operators can remove fan noise, extend PSU service life in sealed cooling loops, and use alternative cooling methods such as water cooling, oil cooling, or remote air blower turbines. The simulator outputs a valid RPM signal so the PSU firmware does not report a missing fan or enter protection.

Selecting the Right Cable Version
Whatsminer has shipped multiple PSU revisions with different fan connector pinouts. Selecting the correct simulator cable version is critical — the wrong version will either not provide a valid RPM signal or, worse, short-circuit the PSU protection logic. Cross-reference before installation:
- V1 → P10/P11/P20/P21
- V2 → P21B
- V3 → P221C/P21D/P21E
- V4 → P222B/P222C
- V5 → P221B
If unsure, send us a photo of your PSU fan connector and we will confirm the right version.
When to Use a PSU Fan Simulator
In a dry, air-cooled setup the stock PSU fan is fine. But in immersion tanks, hydro loops or oil-cooled installations, the spinning fan creates unnecessary acoustic noise, pumps coolant around the PSU internals in ways the design did not anticipate, and can shorten bearing life dramatically. The simulator removes the fan entirely; the PSU gets its cooling from the coolant it sits in, and the fan-speed signal is synthesized so the firmware is happy.
