DF1203812B2FN 120mm Cooling Fan – Avalon 1066 / 1166 / 1246 Replacement
The DF1203812B2FN is a 120×120×38mm high-speed cooling fan rated at 12V / 4.5A with a 4-pin connector, designed as a direct drop-in for Avalon Miner 1066, 1166 and 1246. The wide-angle blade design generates high airflow volume with reduced vibration, maintaining effective thermal management across the Avalon heatsink stack.
When to Replace Avalon Cooling Fans
Avalon miners rely on two or more 120mm fans to push air through the heatsink array. When a fan degrades — bearing noise, reduced RPM, increased vibration — chip temperatures rise and the miner either thermal-throttles or shuts down. Replacing at the first sign of bearing wear prevents unplanned downtime and keeps the hashboards operating within their thermal envelope.
Installation
Power off the miner. Disconnect the old fan's 4-pin plug from the fan header and remove the corner mounting screws. Slide the new DF1203812B2FN into position with the airflow arrow pointing in the correct direction. Secure screws, connect the plug, power on and verify a stable RPM reading with normal chip temperatures in the dashboard.
