Avalon Fan Speed Simulator – Plug-and-Play Spoofer for Immersion, Hydro & Silencer Cooling

The Avalon 2-in-1 Fan Speed Simulator is a plug-and-play fan spoofer for Canaan Avalon A1246, A1166, A1066, A920, A921, A911, A910 and Lovecore A1 miners. It interprets the miner's PWM signal and presents a simulated tach feedback in the 2000–7000 RPM range, so the controller never trips a fan-fault when the original fans are removed for water cooling, oil immersion or silencer-box installs. Note: the simulator does not provide cooling itself — pair it with a water loop, immersion tank or muffler / centrifugal blower for a complete thermal solution.

When You Need an Avalon Fan Simulator

Three common scenarios cover most installs: an Avalon A1246 / A1166 moved into a silencer box with a single remote blower; an Avalon hashboard converted to a water cooling loop with the chassis fans removed; or a Lovecore / Avalon unit running in a single-phase oil immersion tank. In every case, the controller still expects healthy tach feedback on the fan headers — without a simulator, it logs a fan fault and stops hashing.

Installation Notes

Power the miner off and unplug mains. Disconnect the original fan headers and plug each one into the simulator's matching 4-pin square port. Power up and verify the controller reports healthy RPM in the dashboard before activating your cooling loop. No firmware modification required.
