About the Product

Fan Simulator 4-pin ATX for Whatsminer M30 / M31 / M32 / M33 / M50 / M60 – Immersion Cooling

The 4-pin ATX Fan Simulator is a compact plug-and-play dongle that emulates a running fan's tach signal on Whatsminer M30, M31, M32, M33, M50 and M60 series miners. When a miner is converted to water or oil immersion cooling, the original fans are removed — but the miner firmware still expects valid fan RPM reports and will throw "fan missing" errors or shut down otherwise. This simulator satisfies the firmware check so the miner keeps hashing safely in the immersion loop.

Why a Fan Simulator Is Required on Immersion Whatsminers

Whatsminer firmware continuously monitors fan RPM via the 4-pin tach line. If any fan reports zero RPM, the miner will: log a fan fault, throttle hashrate, or shut the miner down outright. Removing fans for immersion cooling triggers exactly that fault. Plugging this simulator into the fan header provides a constant valid tach pulse — firmware sees "healthy fan" and lets the miner run at full hashrate inside the dielectric fluid.

Installation Notes

Disconnect the original fan harnesses before submerging the miner. Plug one simulator per fan header the firmware expects (typically 2 per Whatsminer M-Series miner — front and rear). Keep the simulator dry-side or sealed if it must sit inside the tank; while small, its electronics are not rated for extended oil contact. For higher-pin variants (6-pin), use the matching 6-pin simulator from our range.
