About the Product

S75 Temperature Sensor Chip – SOP8 Replacement for Antminer & Whatsminer Hashboard Repair

The S75 digital temperature sensor is a high-accuracy thermal monitoring chip used across a wide range of Antminer and Whatsminer hashboards, including S21 IMM, S19 XP Hydro, S19k Pro, L7, D7 and the Whatsminer M-series boards. It serves as a direct replacement for the CT75MMR sensor and is identified on the board by the S75 silkscreen marking. When this sensor fails, the miner typically logs temperature sensor errors, enters thermal protection at boot, or throttles hashrate — all issues that are resolved by replacing the faulty SOP8 chip.

Signs the S75 Sensor Has Failed

Sensor failure rarely takes down a hashboard immediately; instead it triggers control-board level errors. Look for miner logs reporting "temp sensor not found", "read temp error" or a hashboard stuck at a fixed (often impossibly high) reported temperature. In some cases the miner boots, runs briefly, then enters thermal protection as the firmware mis-reads a stuck sensor as an overheat event. Rework is straightforward: desolder the failing SOP8, clean the pads, and reflow a fresh S75 aligned to the original silkscreen marking.

Why the S75 Is a Popular Replacement Part

The S75 is cross-compatible with several common hashboard temperature sensors thanks to its standard I²C addressing and ultra-low power draw. Stocking the S75 covers Antminer S19-series and S21-series repairs as well as a large chunk of Whatsminer M-series work. For repair shops, a small reel of S75 chips is one of the cheapest inventory investments that meaningfully reduces downtime per job.
