Do test fixtures work with custom firmware miners ?
Fixtures interface with the hashboard directly, not through the miner's control board firmware. So they work regardless of custom miner firmware (vnish, braiins, etc.). The hashboard itself just needs to be a recognised generation.
I have a mixed Antminer + Whatsminer fleet — should I buy one universal fixture or two dedicated ?
Universal fixtures (K8 / K9) handle multi-brand at the cost of slower scanning and less detailed per-chip diagnostics.
