When to Replace a Miner Fan

Fan failure is one of the most common causes of unplanned miner downtime. Symptoms include the firmware reporting a fan-speed error (RPM below minimum threshold), audible bearing noise or grinding, or the miner throttling hash rate due to elevated board temperatures even though the rest of the cooling system is intact. If a fan's reported RPM drops below 80 % of its rated speed under normal conditions, it is approaching end-of-life and should be replaced proactively before it stalls completely.
