Whatsminer M30S+ 102T Water Cooling Plate Radiator Kit | Hydro Retrofit for Enhanced Mining Efficiency & Noise Reduction
The Whatsminer M30S+ 102T Water Cooling Plate Radiator Kit is a complete hydro retrofit for the air-cooled M30S+ 102T Bitcoin miner. Replaces the original fan-cooled heatsinks with 3 water-cooling plates + 2 dividers + 6 hashboard mounting strips + 4 metres of piping for closed-loop coolant flow. The water loop pulls heat off the hashboards faster than air can, holding junction temperatures lower at full hashrate.
Why hydro on an M30S+ 102T: heat ceiling becomes the limiting factor for sustained mining in hot environments. With the original fans + heatsinks, the miner throttles or trips OTP under high-ambient conditions. The water plates take that heat into an external loop / radiator, letting the miner hold rated hashrate continuously. The same retrofit also drops acoustic signature dramatically when paired with a silencer enclosure (chassis fans removed).

Q: Does this kit include the pump and radiator?
A: No — this is the cold-plate + manifold + tubing kit only. Pump, reservoir, and radiator come from a separate water-cooling kit (e.g. the Lian Li 12kW Hydro ASIC kit linked below) sized to your total fleet heat load. One pump can feed multiple miners through the included shunts.
Q: Installation difficulty?
A: Moderate — requires basic mechanical skill, fresh thermal paste, careful pipe routing, and leak-testing before powering on. Plan on a full bench session per miner the first time; subsequent installs go faster once you've routed one. Coolant level checks and periodic coolant replacement are required for ongoing operation.
Q: Can I keep the original chassis fans after the retrofit?
A: Possible for a hybrid setup but most operators remove the fans entirely (silencer enclosure + hydro = silent operation) and use a Whatsminer fan speed simulator on the control board to keep the firmware happy without fan-failure errors.
