Fan Speed Simulators and Spoofers for Crypto Miners — Immersion Conversion, Silencer Mods, Maintenance

Fan speed simulators are the simple but indispensable accessory for any miner setup where the original fans have been removed, replaced with silencers, or substituted with custom cooling. When ASIC firmware loses the tachometer signal from a missing or out-of-spec fan, it triggers a thermal protection shutdown within seconds — even if the miner is actually being cooled perfectly by immersion fluid, water plates, or a silent blower. This collection covers every fan simulator we stock for Antminer, Whatsminer, Avalon, Innosilicon, Goldshell, Iceriver, Iceriver AL series, Elphapex and other crypto miner brands — 4-pin, 6-pin, 2-in-1, 4-in-1 and brand-specific spoofers that keep the firmware happy while you run custom cooling.

When you need a fan simulator

Four scenarios where a simulator is essential :

  • Immersion cooling conversion — when you submerge an air-cooled miner in dielectric fluid, the fans are removed (they'd just spin uselessly in oil and waste power). Without simulators, the firmware shuts the miner down. Antminer S19K / S19K Pro 4-pin fan simulator for immersion, 2-in-1 fan simulator for Antminer immersion, Whatsminer power supply fan simulator 4P immersion water oil cooling.
  • Silencer / quiet-fan installation — when you replace high-RPM stock fans with low-RPM silencers (200-300W cooling blowers), the RPM signal is out of firmware range. A simulator spoofs the expected RPM.
  • Failed fan with replacement out of stock — short-term fix while waiting for the correct fan to arrive : install a simulator on the broken fan header, keep the miner running with ambient airflow until the new fan ships.
  • Custom cooling deployments — water-cooled hashboard with external pump cooling, hybrid air/oil setups, or any non-stock cooling approach that doesn't have OEM-spec fans in the original position.

What's in this collection

28+ fan simulators organised by miner brand and use case :

  • Antminer fan simulators — S19K / S19K Pro 4-pin fan simulator for immersion cooling, 2-in-1 fan simulator 4-pin for Antminer immersion cooling, Antminer L9 fan speed simulator for water cooling and silencer blower, 4-pin red devil fan simulator (also compatible with Innosilicon, Goldshell, iPollo).
  • Whatsminer fan simulators — Whatsminer PSU fan simulator 4P immersion water oil cooling cooler device, 4-pin ATX fan simulator for Whatsminer M30 / M31 / M32 / M33 / M50 / M60 series, Whatsminer 6-pin to 4-pin fan adapter cable for control board cooling fan.
  • Iceriver fan simulators — Iceriver fan speed simulator for RX0 / KS1 / KS2 / KS3 / KS3M / KS3L / KS5L miner spoofer, Iceriver AL3 / KS5M fan speed simulator 4-in-1 spoofer, Iceriver AL series compatible.
  • Multi-brand and specialty simulators — Dragonball A11 / KS6 Pro / KS6 Pro+ dual fan speed simulator, Elphapex DG1 / DG1+ 2-in-1 fan speed spoofer, Elphapex DG1 / DG1+ 4-in-1 fan speed simulator.
  • Fan adapter cables — kit for cooling fans and fan simulators : 4-pin linear to 4-pin square ATX connector (set of 2 cables), useful when matching a simulator to a non-standard fan header.

Why source fan simulators from LYS Shenzhen

Three reasons mining ops doing immersion or silencer conversions standardise on our simulators :

  • Firmware-tested compatibility — every simulator is tested with the actual miner firmware it's marketed for. We catch incompatible PCB revisions before you do. A $2 simulator that triggers shutdown costs you 24 hours of fleet downtime ; one that works keeps the miner online indefinitely.
  • Multi-pin variants stocked — same brand, different pin counts (2-in-1, 4-in-1) in stock to match different miner generations. One supplier for fleet-wide spoofer inventory.
  • Bulk pricing for fleet conversions — at $1.80-$5.50 per simulator, individual cost is small but fleet immersion conversion or silencer mod consumes hundreds of units. Quote-based volume pricing reflects scale. Worldwide shipping with DDP option for US and EU customers.

Frequently asked questions

How does a fan simulator actually work ?
It emits a pulse signal on the tachometer pin matching the RPM the firmware expects (typically 4 000-6 000 RPM). The firmware reads the pulse, thinks the fan is healthy, and skips the thermal-shutdown logic. The simulator draws negligible power (a few milliwatts) and replaces the fan electrically without replacing it physically.

Can I use any simulator for any miner, or do I need brand-specific ?
Brand-specific. Different miner firmwares expect different RPM ranges and pulse patterns. An Antminer simulator may not register correctly on Whatsminer, and vice versa. The collection is organised by brand to avoid mismatches.

Does a fan simulator damage the miner ?
No — simulators are passive devices that mimic the fan signal. They draw negligible current and have no path to feedback or damage the control board. The risk to the miner is from running without cooling, not from the simulator itself. Always make sure your custom cooling is adequate before using simulators.

I have a fleet of 50 Antminers going to immersion — how many simulators do I need ?
Multiply your miner count by the number of fan slots per miner (typically 2-4). For 50 Antminer S19s with 2 fan slots each = 100 simulators. Order 110-120 to account for spare inventory and damaged units during installation.

Do simulators work with custom firmware (e.g. overclocking firmware) ?
Usually yes — most overclocking firmware retains the same fan-monitoring logic. If you run heavily-modified firmware, test one simulator before bulk-ordering. We can advise on compatibility if you share the firmware name.
