300W Full Copper Motor – Silent Turbine Fan for Crypto Miner Noise Reduction

The YPY-300-4 is a 300W full copper-wound motor designed for building or upgrading silent turbine fans and blower silencers for ASIC miners. It runs on 220V ~ 60Hz with an adjustable multi-tap design providing current settings from 2.7A to 11A through 5 colour-coded wires (red, white, black, blue, green). The full copper windings deliver superior thermal performance and efficiency compared to aluminium-wound alternatives, enabling sustained 24/7 operation at lower operating temperatures.

Why Build a Custom Silencer

Stock mining fans produce 70–80dBA — unacceptable in residential or noise-sensitive environments. A centrifugal blower powered by a high-quality motor like the YPY-300-4 can move equivalent airflow at a fraction of the noise by using a larger, slower-spinning impeller. The multi-tap current control lets you balance airflow volume against noise level for your specific setup. The 300W rating provides ample power for cooling even high-wattage miners like the S19 Pro or M30S++.

Installation

Mount the motor in your blower enclosure and connect the appropriate tap wires for your desired airflow level. Connect to a 220V outlet. Attach the blower output to the miner's exhaust side and install fan simulator plugs on the miner's fan headers to suppress firmware alarms. Verify chip temperatures are within normal range at your selected speed setting.
