About the Product

4-pin Linear to 4-pin Square ATX Adapter Cable Kit for ASIC Miner Cooling Fans

The Adapter Cable Kit bridges the two most common fan headers used on crypto-mining gear: the 4-pin linear connector found on many Antminer and immersion-cooling builds, and the 4-pin square ATX header used by standard PC-style fans and several fan simulators. Each pack ships as a set of two cables, letting technicians repurpose existing inventory instead of buying fans or simulators in a specific connector flavour. Straight from the factory at a cost-effective price for repair shops and mining farms.

How the adapter cable is used

Fan headers on ASIC miners are not standardised. Older Antminer models, immersion-cooling fan simulators, and several aftermarket cooling kits use a 4-pin linear pinout, while many PC-style replacement fans and the newer wave of fan simulators ship with a 4-pin square ATX plug. The adapter cable maps pin-for-pin between the two so a 4-pin square fan can drive a controller expecting a linear header, or a linear fan simulator can be plugged into a square ATX socket.

Installation is simply mid-line: unplug the existing fan or simulator, slide the adapter between the controller header and the fan / simulator end, and route the cable to keep it clear of the airflow path. No firmware or wiring changes are needed.

Compatibility

Designed for crypto-mining equipment that uses a 4-pin linear or 4-pin square ATX fan header. Typical pairings include Antminer controllers using a linear 4-pin output with square-plug aftermarket fans, immersion-cooling fan simulators with linear plugs paired with controllers expecting square ATX, and DIY workshop builds repurposing PC-style fans on ASIC controllers. For specific miner models and connector orientations, contact us with a photo of your existing connector before ordering.

Common failure symptoms (when the wrong connector style is used)

  • Fan plug physically does not fit the controller header
  • Forced fitment damages the plug pins or controller socket
  • Fan spins but tach signal is missing because the pinout is wrong
  • Controller reports fan-error even with a known-good fan or simulator installed
  • Workshop inventory of fans and simulators sits unused due to connector mismatch

Frequently asked questions

Is the fan simulator shown in the second photo included?

No. The kit contains one adapter cables only. The fan simulator pictured in the marketing image is a separate product — see the related products list to add a compatible simulator.

Does it carry the tach (RPM feedback) signal?

Yes. All four wires are mapped, so PWM and tach signals are preserved across the adapter, provided the source and target sides both follow the standard 4-pin pinout.

Can I use it to convert a 6-pin KF2510 to a square ATX header?

No. This adapter handles 4-pin linear to 4-pin square ATX only. For 6-pin KF2510 (e.g. Whatsminer M20 / M21 style headers), use a dedicated 6-pin adapter or signal cable.

What gauge / current rating do the cables support?

The cables are built from high-quality factory-grade wiring sized for typical ASIC miner cooling fan loads. For high-current PSU-style applications, use a dedicated PSU signal cable instead of a fan adapter.
