GOLDEN GI-1A-12DH Power Relay – Avalon & Whatsminer M10 PSU Replacement
The GOLDEN GI-1A-12DH is a 4-pin power relay designed as a direct replacement for faulty relays in Avalon power supplies and the Whatsminer M10 PSU. It features 1,000MΩ insulation resistance (500VDC), a working time of ≤10ms and release time of ≤5ms at rated voltage. The relay operates from -40°C to 105°C at 5–85% RH, mounts via PCB terminals and weighs just 5.6g (18.5×10.2×15.9mm).
Role in Mining PSUs
The relay controls the main power path or standby circuit in the PSU. When it fails — contacts welded shut or coil open — the PSU either stays permanently on (ignoring shutdown commands) or won't start at all. Replacing the relay restores normal PSU power sequencing and shutdown behaviour.
Replacement Procedure
Disconnect mains and discharge capacitors. Locate the relay on the PSU control board — it is a small 4-pin PCB-mount component. Desolder the through-hole pins, remove the old relay, insert the new GI-1A-12DH with correct orientation and solder. Verify normal PSU startup and shutdown behaviour.
