It steps down a 2.5–5.5 V input to an adjustable output as low as 0.6 V at up to 1.5 MHz switching frequency — delivering high efficiency with minimal external components. On Antminer S17e hash boards it powers auxiliary logic rails (temperature sensors, clock buffers, communication interfaces) that the ASIC chips rely on for coordinated operation.

Why This Converter Fails on Mining Hash Boards

Hash boards experience constant thermal cycling and voltage transients from the high-current ASIC power domains. Over thousands of hours, these stresses can degrade the TLV62568's internal MOSFETs, causing the output voltage to sag or oscillate.
