Tinning Procedure

Apply solder paste across the stencil surface using a scraper, ensuring each opening is filled evenly. Use a hot-air station or heat gun at the paste manufacturer's recommended reflow temperature — typically 180–220 °C for standard leaded paste — and watch for the solder to wet and ball on each pad. Let the chip cool, then lift it from the fixture. Inspect under magnification to confirm uniform solder bumps with no bridges between adjacent pads before placing the chip back on the hashboard for reflow.
