About the Product

BM1362AK ASIC Chip – Antminer S19j / S19jhyd Hashboard IC Replacement

The BM1362AK is one of the production Bitmain SHA-256 ASIC variants used on Antminer S19j and S19jhyd hashboards. It is the silicon Bitmain shipped on the late-batch S19j family alongside the BM1362AA and BM1362AC variants — chip-level changes between the AK / AA / AC versions are minor and they share the same footprint, but for clean repairs ops teams typically match the original variant on the board to avoid mixed-batch chains. We source BM1362AK original and brand new from our supply chain.

BM1362AK on the S19j / S19jhyd Hashboard

S19j-class hashboards run a chain of BM1362AK / AA / AC chips wired in series across multiple voltage domains. A single dead chip breaks the chain and takes the whole domain offline in the kernel log. Multiple dead chips across different domains usually points to a thermal event or a power-rail fault rather than chip-level failure. The standard ops flow: read the failed positions from the kernel log or the BM1362 test fixture, isolate the board, rework the suspect chip(s) — match the variant on the board if you can — and re-test on the fixture before sending the board back to the miner.

Replacement Procedure

Pre-heat the hashboard to 130-150°C with an IR pre-heater. Use a hot-air rework station at 340-360°C with a small nozzle to lift the failed BM1362AK — protect adjacent passives and neighbouring chips with kapton tape. Clean the pads with flux and braid, lay down fresh paste matching the S19j board's solder process, place the new BM1362AK with vacuum tweezers respecting the orientation mark, and re-flow. Verify the swap on a BM1362 series test fixture before reinstalling the hashboard.
