The BM1368PB is the Bitmain ASIC hashing chip used on the Antminer S21, T21 and S21 Hydro hashboards. When one or more chips fail, the affected positions drop out of the hash chain and the board's total hash rate decreases proportionally. This is a new original BM1368PB chip — direct BGA replacement that restores the failed position's hash rate contribution. Not a pull or remark.
When to Replace a BM1368PB Chip
The miner's ASIC status page shows each chip's health. A failed BM1368PB appears as a missing position, an error flag or abnormally low hash rate at that slot. Common causes include thermal degradation from sustained operation, solder joint fatigue under thermal cycling, and electromigration in the chip's internal power rails. Replacing the failed chip with fresh solder paste and reflowing restores normal operation at that position.
Replacement Procedure
Remove the hashboard and identify the failed chip from the miner log. Preheat to 150–180°C, apply flux and remove the chip with hot air at 350–400°C. Clean pads with solder wick. Apply solder paste using a BM1368 stencil, place the new chip with pin 1 aligned and reflow. Verify the chip appears in the hash chain and reports normal hash rate in the dashboard.
