MC34063ADR2G Multi-Mode Switching Regulator – Avalon 8 Series PMU
The MC34063ADR2G is a multi-mode DC-DC switching regulator used on the Avalon 8 series PMU board. The chip supports step-up (boost), step-down (buck) and inverting topologies — flexible enough to handle multiple rails from a single device. Built-in temperature-compensated reference, comparators, controlled duty-cycle oscillator, source current-limit circuit, driver and high-current output switch.
Headline numbers: 1.5 A output switch current, low standby current, 2 % reference accuracy and operation up to 100 kHz. Output voltage is adjustable via an external resistor divider — match the original divider when replacing.
