Whatsminer P463B / P663B Power Supply 8000W – For M56 & M66 Oil Immersion Miners
The Whatsminer P463B / P663B is an 8,000W power supply designed for the Whatsminer M56 and M66 oil immersion cooling miners. It delivers 21–31V on its primary output with a 7V auxiliary rail, achieving 96% efficiency at full load with 480VAC input. The PSU accepts 320–528VAC at up to 16A and communicates with the miner via I2C. Full protection suite includes undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature shutdown.
Why Immersion Miners Need a Dedicated PSU
Oil immersion miners like the M56 and M66 operate at higher sustained wattages than their air-cooled equivalents because there is no thermal throttling — the dielectric fluid handles all heat dissipation. This places continuous maximum demand on the PSU. The P463B/P663B is built for this duty cycle, with oil-compatible construction and thermal design rated for the elevated ambient temperatures inside an immersion tank.
Installation
Disconnect mains. Mount the PSU in the M56/M66 chassis and connect the primary output harness to the hashboard power bus and the auxiliary output to the control board. Connect AC input (320–528VAC required — verify your facility's high-voltage supply). Power on and verify output voltage, I2C communication and normal hash rate in the dashboard.
