Frequently asked questions

Can I substitute a 6 000 RPM fan for a 5 500 RPM original ?
Mining ASIC firmware monitors the tachometer signal and shuts down on out-of-range readings. A 9 % overspeed (6 000 vs 5 500) is usually within firmware tolerance, but anything above ~15 % can trigger a fault. Match the original RPM unless you also install a fan speed simulator to spoof the signal.

What's the difference between 12cm and 14cm fans — can I use 14cm in a 12cm slot ?
No, the chassis mounting holes are different. 12cm fans (120×120×38mm) and 14cm fans (140×140×38mm) are not interchangeable. Antminer S19 / S21 generations use 12cm or 14cm depending on the model — check the existing fan dimensions before ordering.

Do you stock immersion-rated fans, or do I use a simulator instead ?
