7V26000012 (T260) 26 MHz Crystal Oscillator – Antminer S19 Pro Hashboard Repair

The 7V26000012 is a 26 MHz passive SMD crystal oscillator in a compact 3.2 × 2.5 mm, 4-pin package. On the Antminer S19 Pro hash board it provides the master clock reference that the ASIC chain uses to synchronise hashing operations. When this crystal fails or drifts out of specification, the entire hash chain loses synchronisation — leading to a board that powers on but reports zero hash rate, or one that produces excessive hardware errors across all chip positions simultaneously.

Diagnosing a Failed Clock Crystal

If every ASIC on a hash board shows errors at the same time (rather than a single chip position failing), the shared clock reference is suspect. Probe the crystal's output pad with an oscilloscope: a healthy 26 MHz crystal shows a clean sine or clipped-sine waveform at the expected frequency; a failed crystal shows no oscillation or a heavily distorted signal. If the waveform is absent, check the nearby load capacitors as well — a missing or cracked capacitor can prevent the crystal from starting.

Replacement Procedure

Remove the failed crystal with a hot-air station at 280–300 °C, keeping air flow focused to avoid disturbing surrounding passives. Clean the four pads with flux and solder wick. Place the new 7V26000012, aligning its orientation mark with the PCB reference, and reflow. After cooling, verify oscillation with a scope probe on the output pad, then run a full test-fixture scan to confirm all ASIC positions are hashing at rated speed.
