Power up Your Industrial Automation System with GBJ2508 Bridge Rectifier
Introducing the GBJ2508 bridge rectifier, the ultimate solution for your power supply needs. This versatile device is specifically designed for AC/DC bridge full-wave rectification in large power supplies, field power supply of DC motors, and industrial automation applications.
Versatile 800V 25A Bridge Rectifier for Industrial Automation Applications
With its compact and lightweight design, the GBJ2508 bridge rectifier offers unmatched convenience in handling and transportation. It delivers flawless performance with a typical IR less than 2.0µA and high surge current capability. The low thermal resistance ensures optimal device cooling under all operating conditions.
GBJ2508 Technical Features:
| Maximum Reverse Voltage | 800V |
|---|---|
| Average Rectified Current | 25A |
| Forward Voltage (Vf) | 1.05V |
| Surge Current Capability | 350A |
| Isolation Voltage | Up to 2500V |
| Operating Temperature Range | -65°C to +150°C |
Where the GBJ2508 sits in an ASIC PSU
On the AC input side of a Whatsminer or Antminer PSU, the GBJ2508 (or an equivalent 800V class bridge) converts the 220-277V AC mains into the rectified DC bus that feeds the PFC stage and the bulk capacitor. A failed bridge rectifier is one of the most common reasons a PSU appears dead with a blown input fuse and no PFC start-up.
Compatibility
Use as a direct replacement wherever the original board calls for a GBJ-package 25A / 800V bridge rectifier. Verify pinout and mounting hole spacing against the original part before fitting — most 25A GBJ-series rectifiers share the footprint but lead lengths can vary by supplier.
Common failure symptoms
- PSU dead and input fuse blown the moment AC is applied
- One or more bridge diodes measure shorted in-circuit
- Bulk DC bus reads low or zero under no-load conditions
- Burn mark or cracked epoxy on the bridge rectifier body
- PFC inductor never starts switching despite AC input being present
Frequently asked questions
Can the GBJ2508 replace a GBJ2510?
The GBJ2508 is rated 800V and the GBJ2510 is rated 1000V; for ASIC PSU input from 220-277V AC mains, either rating is acceptable as long as it meets or exceeds the original PRV. Match the average current rating and the footprint.
Do I need to replace both the bridge and the PFC MOSFETs after a failure?
Often yes. A shorted bridge rectifier typically takes the input fuse and one or both PFC MOSFETs with it. Always test the PFC switches with the bridge removed before powering the board back up.
Is heatsinking required?
The GBJ package includes a metal tab; bolt it to the PSU chassis or to a small heatsink as on the original assembly. Running the bridge at full 25A without thermal contact is not advisable.
Do you stock it in bulk?
