Compared to the GBJ2508 (25A class) it offers more headroom and is the preferred choice on higher-wattage PSUs. A failed bridge rectifier is one of the most common causes of a dead PSU with a blown input fuse.

Is heatsinking required?

Do I need to replace anything else after a bridge failure?
Often yes. A shorted bridge typically takes the input fuse and one or both PFC MOSFETs with it. Always test the PFC stage with the bridge removed before powering up.
