H6 CV200-OS Quad-Core CPU – Whatsminer CB4 V10 Control Board Repair
The H6 CV200-OS is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with ARMv8 64-bit and 32-bit execution, 512KB shared L2 cache, NEON SIMD instructions and TrustZone security. It serves as the main controller on the Whatsminer CB4 V10 control board, managing hashboard communication, pool connectivity, firmware execution and the miner's web interface. New original component for direct BGA replacement.
When the H6 CPU Fails
A failed H6 CPU causes the control board to stop booting — no network, no web interface, no hashboard communication. Common causes include power surge damage, thermal stress (especially without proper heatsinking) and solder joint fatigue under thermal cycling. Since the H6 is a BGA device, replacement requires professional rework equipment — heating station, BGA reballing stencil and hot-air station.
Replacement Procedure
Remove the control board. Preheat to 150–180°C, remove the failed H6 with hot air at 350–400°C. Clean pads with solder wick. Reball the new CPU using the matching BGA stencil, place on the footprint and reflow. Apply a heatsink with thermal paste after installation. Verify normal boot, network connectivity and hashboard detection.
