About the Product

ICE2QS03 Offline Flyback Controller for ASIC Miner PSU Auxiliary

The ICE2QS03 is an offline flyback AC-DC converter controller from Infineon Technologies, used in the auxiliary / standby rail of ASIC miner PSUs. 500 V breakdown voltage + flyback topology deliver efficient operation across the universal mains input range, with 18 V quick voltage start-up for clean PSU boot.

Comprehensive built-in protection: current limiting, open-loop protection, over-voltage protection, soft start, 0.5 maximum duty cycle and additional fault-handling features. Switching at 52 kHz in a PG-DIP-8 through-hole package — repair-bench friendly socket-style installation.

Typical Failure Modes Solved

  • PSU stays in standby / won't boot — failed flyback controller, auxiliary rail dead.
  • Audible coil whine — controller stuck in fault-retry loop.
  • OVP / OCP trip on power-up — internal protection circuit triggering false positives.
  • Production refurbishment — bulk controller stock for PSU rebuild lines.

FAQ — ICE2QS03 Controller

Q: Through-hole DIP-8 — why on modern PSUs?
A: DIP-8 socket-mounting allows field replacement without solder rework. Many ASIC PSUs use a socketed flyback controller for service-friendliness.

Q: ICE2QS03 vs ICE2QS01 — substitute?
A: Different switching frequency and quick-start voltage. For OEM-spec PSU repair, match the original part marking.

Q: Bulk pricing?
A: Yes — email contact@lys-sz.com.
