About the Product

MP8904DD T3JC 0.7V LDO Chip | LDO for Antminer Z15 Hash Board Repair

The MP8904DD (silk mark "T3JC") is an adjustable low-dropout linear regulator used on the Antminer Z15 hashboard for low-voltage ASIC supply generation. On the Z15 it's configured for a 0.7V output rail, but the part is adjustable from 0.5V to 5V via an external feedback divider — so the same chip serves other 0.5-5V LDO positions in repair work.

Spec highlights: 500mA output current, 300mV dropout at 500mA, 100µA ground current, 2.5V to 6.5V input range. Built-in thermal overload protection and current limit protection guard against fault conditions. Load regulation better than 0.001%/mA keeps the output tight across changing ASIC load.

When to Replace the MP8904DD

  • 0.7V rail dead on Z15 hashboard while VIN is present at the LDO input.
  • Rail drooping under ASIC load — LDO can't sustain 500mA.
  • Power-normal open collector output stuck — internal logic failed.
  • Visible damage on the MPT-3 / SMD package.

FAQ — MP8904DD T3JC LDO

Q: My Z15 rail is configured for 0.7V, but I see a different voltage on a sibling board — why?
A: The MP8904DD is adjustable. The output is set by external feedback resistors. Different Z15 hashboard revisions or other miner models using the same chip can set different target voltages (0.5V to 5V range).

Q: How do I confirm the chip is the failed part?
A: Measure VIN at the input pin (should be 1.5V+ above the target rail). Measure VOUT. If VIN is present and within spec but VOUT is 0V or drooping, the LDO is failed.

Q: Rework profile?
A: Hot-air at 320°C, flux paste, controlled airflow. The MPT-3 package is small — preheat the board to 100°C before rework to avoid thermal shock.

Q: Bulk pricing?
