The MQ-2 Gas Sensor Module is the industry-standard multi-gas detection module for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and embedded air quality projects. Detects LPG, i-butane, propane, methane, alcohol, hydrogen, and smoke from a single sensor element — the workhorse module for DIY gas leak detectors, gas alarms, robotics safety systems, and educational electronics kits.
Operates on 5V DC supply with both analog and digital outputs: the analog output gives continuous concentration measurement (useful for trending), the digital output triggers above an adjustable threshold (useful for alarm logic). Adjustable sensitivity via onboard potentiometer calibrates threshold trip point to your application. Concentration range 100–10000 ppm covers ambient detection through dangerous accumulation.
