Whatsminer P732A Power Supply – 4,900 W PSU for M61, M61S & M61S+ Miners
The Whatsminer P732A (model P732A-BC-14-5000-A-V01) is an industrial-grade 4,900 W power supply for the M61, M61S and M61S+. It delivers a stable 14 V / 350 A main output plus a 12 V / 15 A auxiliary rail, from a 220–277 VAC input at up to 27 A. Built-in overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection safeguards both PSU and miner in the event of a downstream fault.
Why PSU Failures Are Common on High-Wattage Miners
The M61 series draws close to 5 kW at the wall. At these power levels, even small increases in ambient temperature or dust accumulation push components past thermal limits. Electrolytic capacitors dry out first, raising ESR and output ripple. MOSFET failures in the primary switching stage are the second most common mode, triggered by thermal fatigue or mains spikes. A replacement PSU restores full hash rate immediately without board-level repair downtime.
Installation Guide
Disconnect mains and unplug all power cables between PSU and hashboards/control board. Remove mounting hardware, slide the old unit out, and position the new P732A. Secure with screws, reconnect all cables, and plug into a 220–277 V circuit rated for at least 27 A. Power on and confirm all hashboards are detected and hash rate ramps to target. Always ensure the input circuit is properly rated — running a 4,900 W PSU on an undersized breaker causes voltage droop and nuisance tripping.
