YD6025HSL 60×60×25mm Cooling Fan 12V 0.30A – Bitmain APW12 APW17 PSU Repair
The YD6025HSL is a 60×60×25mm internal cooling fan rated 12V / 0.30A, used as the secondary-side cooling fan inside Bitmain APW12 APW17 power supplies. When this fan slows or seizes, the APW12 internal temperature climbs and either trips on overtemp or quietly shortens the life of the secondary capacitors and synchronous rectifiers. Replacement is a 10-minute job and restores the PSU to factory cooling performance.
Why the YD6025HSL Specifically
The APW12 PSU runs the secondary-side rectifiers at 1500-3000W of throughput. The internal fan needs to deliver enough static pressure to push air across that heatsink without choking. The YD6025HSL has the right airflow / pressure curve and the matching 2-pin connector pinout — generic 60mm PC fans usually run at lower RPM, miss the connector pinout, and don't cool the PSU adequately under sustained load.
Replacement Procedure
Disconnect the APW12 from mains and wait 5 minutes for the bulk capacitors to discharge. Open the case (4-6 screws), unplug the original fan from the secondary-side header, remove the 4 fan screws, fit the new YD6025HSL with the airflow arrow pointing the same direction as the original, and reconnect. Close the case, bench-power the PSU and confirm the fan reaches full speed within 1-2 seconds.
