Power Saving Solution with FA8A01N Control IC

Designed to optimize performance, the FA8A01N offers a reduced switching frequency at medium loads and utilizes burst mode operation under light loads. With a built-in 500V high voltage starting circuit, it ensures reliable power delivery. The IC also provides two-level overload protection, incorporating a delay time of Tdlyolp=70 ms (typical) and built-in OLP line compensation.

Safety is paramount with the FA8A01N as it includes secondary-side short circuit protection and overvoltage protection with a typical threshold of Vthovp=25.5V. Additionally, it features an undervoltage lockout function (typical Vvccoff=6.5V), a brown-in/out function, and a latch stop function via pull-up/pull-down of the LAT pin.

To ensure smooth operation, the FA8A01N incorporates a built-in soft start function with a typical duration of Tss=11msec. With its built-in minimum ON width function, this control IC delivers reliable and efficient power supply management for various applications.
