Why Gen2 Brushless DC vs Gen1 AC capacitor
The Gen2 brushless DC motor replaces the AC capacitor motor of our Black Mini Standard (Gen1). The benefits over Gen1 are substantial for premium home miners and small-fleet operators:
- 30-50% energy savings vs AC capacitor at equivalent airflow
- Stepless speed knob — fine-tune wind speed continuously to match ambient temperature and acoustic preference, vs Gen1's 3-position High/Med/Low fixed switch

Stepless speed knob — comfort and precision
The large knob on the unit lets you adjust airflow continuously. Trim down during cool nights for whisper-quiet operation; ramp up during warm afternoons or peak hashboard load. The continuous regulation extends miner service life by matching cooling to actual need, instead of running flat-out at one of three fixed speeds.
Fan adapter — 120mm exhaust
The blower outlet is universal; the included 120mm exhaust adapter is fitted to your miner family. Pick at order:

Easy installation
Remove the 4 original miner fans, plug a fan speed simulator into each of the 4 fan headers to prevent firmware fan-error alarms, mate the blower exhaust to the included 4 × 120mm adapter, connect 220V power. Operational in 10 minutes. Cooling effect after install : approximately -10°C on miner internal temperature.
