LN1134A182MR 1.8 V LDO Voltage Regulator – Antminer Hashboard Replacement IC
The LN1134A182MR (4VK4) is a 1.8 V fixed-output LDO in a compact SOT-23-5 package, delivering up to 300 mA with only 450 mV dropout. On Antminer hash boards it typically supplies the 1.8 V rail that feeds clock distribution buffers, EEPROMs, and temperature-sensor interfaces. When this regulator fails, the downstream logic loses its supply and the control board can no longer communicate with the hash chain — resulting in a board that powers on but reports zero ASIC chips.
How to Identify a Failed 1.8 V LDO on the Hash Board
If the hash board is detected by the control board but every chip position shows as absent during a test-fixture scan, measure the 1.8 V rail with a multimeter. A reading below 1.6 V or a completely absent voltage points to the LDO. Check for thermal discolouration or cracked solder joints around the SOT-23-5 footprint. Because the LN1134A182MR draws only 70 µA quiescent current, a shorted load on its output can also cause the part to overheat and fail — always inspect downstream components for shorts before installing the replacement.
Replacement Procedure
