The LTC3869EUFD is a top-of-the-line high-performance synchronous step-down switching regulator dual controller, designed to drive all N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stages. With its constant frequency current mode architecture, it can achieve phase locking frequencies of up to 780kHz, ensuring optimal power delivery.

One of its key advantages is the reduction in power loss and noise caused by input capacitor ESR, as the two controller output stages operate out of phase. This feature minimizes power supply-induced noise and enhances overall system performance.

Robust Performance and Wide Input Range for Versatile Power Applications

The OPTI-LOOP® compensation feature allows for precise optimization of transient response across a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values, ensuring stable and reliable power delivery. The LTC3869EUFD boasts a wide input supply range of 4V to 38V, making it compatible with various battery chemistries commonly used in different applications.

This regulator offers flexible operation modes, including Burst Mode®, pulse-skipping mode, or continuous inductor current mode, selectable via the MODE/PLLIN pin. It also allows synchronization with an external clock, providing additional control options.

With its dual 180° phase-controlled controllers, the LTC3869EUFD reduces the required input capacitance and effectively manages power-supply-induced noise. It offers accurate multiphase current matching, RSENSE or DCR current sensing, and an impressive ±0.75% 0.6V output voltage accuracy.

The LTC3869EUFD is highly efficient, achieving up to 95% efficiency, thanks to its dual N-channel MOSFET synchronous drive. It operates within a wide input voltage range of 4V to 38V (with a maximum of 40V) and supports a wide output voltage range from 0.6V to 12.5V, providing versatility for various power applications.

Additional features include adjustable soft-start current ramp or tracking, foldback output current limit, output overvoltage protection, and a power good output voltage monitor. It also incorporates a 5V low dropout regulator for added convenience.
