QN3109M6N 30V N-Channel MOSFET – Fast-Switching Hashboard Replacement for Antminer S9

The QN3109M6N is an N-channel 30V fast-switching MOSFET designed as a hashboard replacement IC for the Antminer S9. It features extreme high cell density with optimised Rds(on) and gate charge characteristics, making it well suited for the synchronous buck converter circuits that regulate voltage to each BM1387 ASIC chip group on the S9 board. New original component.

Why the S9 Still Needs Parts

The Antminer S9 remains one of the most widely deployed miners globally due to its low acquisition cost and proven reliability. Many operators continue running S9s where electricity costs support it. When a buck converter MOSFET fails on the hashboard, the affected chip group loses its regulated voltage and stops hashing. Replacing the QN3109 restores full board output at a fraction of the cost of a new hashboard.

Replacement Procedure

Remove the hashboard and locate the failed QN3109 in the buck converter circuit near the affected chip group. Verify failure with a multimeter. Desolder with hot air, clean pads, place the new device with correct orientation and reflow. Confirm proper voltage on the regulated rail and full chip detection in the dashboard.
