VIS30010 N-Channel MOSFET 30V – Ultra-Low Rds(on) for Antminer L7 Hashboard
The VIS30010 is a high-performance N-channel MOSFET rated at 30V with ultra-low Rds(on), used on the Antminer L7 hashboard as a power switching device for the ASIC chip voltage domains. Its low on-state resistance minimises conduction losses and heat generation, which is critical on the densely packed L7 board where thermal margin is tight. New original component with enhanced heat dissipation characteristics.
Why Low-Rds(on) MOSFETs Matter on L7 Hashboards
The L7 hashboard runs hundreds of BM1491 ASIC chips, each drawing current through MOSFETs that switch and distribute power across chip groups. Every milliohm of Rds(on) translates directly to watts of heat at the high currents involved. A MOSFET with degraded or excessive on-resistance reduces the voltage reaching its chip group, causing hash rate drop and chip errors. The VIS30010's ultra-low resistance keeps voltage drop and thermal dissipation to a minimum, maintaining stable chip operation.
Replacement Procedure
Remove the hashboard and identify the failed VIS30010 near the affected voltage domain. Verify failure with a multimeter — check drain-source resistance and gate threshold. Desolder with hot air, clean pads with flux and solder wick, place the new device with correct pin orientation and reflow. After installation, verify drain-source resistance is within specification and reinstall the board. Confirm full chip detection and normal hash rate in the dashboard.
