• Miner won't boot, no fan spin-up after power-on — the control board doesn't initialise. Power supply is fine (the LED is on), but nothing happens. Suspect the control board MCU or its boot flash.
• Miner boots but no IP address, no DHCP response, no web UI — network interface failure on the control board, or corrupted bootloader. Sometimes a fresh control board fixes it instantly ; sometimes the control board's signal cable to the network port is the actual culprit (check the cable before replacing the board).

Will the control board need re-flashing after installation ?
For most current-generation boards (Amlogic C76 for Antminer S19+ / S21, CB6 V10 for Whatsminer M-series), the firmware is pre-loaded and the miner boots out of the box.
